Will my rig fit?
Pull-throughs in Loop D take 45 ft plus a tow vehicle. Back-ins run from 28 ft in Loop A up to 42 ft in Loop D, which was regraded in 2023 for big rigs. Sites A7 through A14 are the tightest. Loop roads are 22 ft wide with a 60 ft turning radius at each junction. Call us and we will tell you honestly if it will not fit.
Can I bring my own firewood?
No, and this is the one that surprises people most. Minnesota law prohibits moving firewood more than 50 miles, and we do check. Buy it here at $9 a bundle, or in the village.
What happens if I arrive after the gate closes?
Call ahead. We will leave your packet and a site map in the box outside the office door with the lamp on, and the gate code is in the packet. Arrive quietly and settle up in the morning. The gate is closed 10:00 pm to 7:00 am.
Is the wi-fi good enough to work?
Usually. There is 500 Mbps fiber to the property, and it is strong near the office, the pavilion and Loops A and B. It is thinner at the west end of Loop D and on the rustic loop. Good enough to work; not always good enough for four people streaming.
Which cell network works here?
Verizon is solid across the whole property. AT&T is good near the office and patchy at the west end. T-Mobile is weak everywhere here.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes — on sites, in the Birch cabins and in the Boathouse. Two per site or cabin at $5 each per night, no charge for service animals. No breed restrictions. Leashed and attended outdoors, and never left alone in a cabin. There is a dog park and a pet wash.

Is there a restaurant?
No restaurant and no bar on the property. Two food trucks come Friday and Saturday evenings from 5:00 to 8:00, Memorial Day through Labor Day. The village is four miles away and has two restaurants and a bakery.
Do you have accessible sites?
Four — A2, C5, D3 and L6 — with paved pads and level paths to the bath house. Accessible restrooms, showers, cabins, paths and parking. The Boathouse is step-free. The beach is reachable by packed gravel, but the last 20 ft is sand.
How far ahead do I need to book?
June through August, book ahead — the lakefront sites go a year out. Seasonal sites are spoken for by January and the waitlist runs about two years. Labor Day to mid-October you can usually get a lakefront site on a weekend without planning.
Can I have visitors?
Day visitors check in at the office and pay $12 day use, which covers the beach and the pool. Everyone off the property by 10:00 pm unless they are registered.
What is included in the rate?
Four people, two vehicles on the pad, a picnic table, a fire ring, wi-fi, water and shade. Full-hookup sites add the patio slab. Extra people are $8 each per night to a maximum of six on a site. There is no resort fee.
Is there anything on for the kids?
Every day in summer. Crafts Tuesday morning, ice cream Wednesday evening, bingo Thursday, hot dogs Saturday, and a movie on the beach after dark. Kids club runs weekday mornings mid-June to mid-August. It is all free to guests — the whole week is here.
